The Archaeology Group is organising a Coach Trip to visit Vindolanda and The Sill National Landscape Discovery Centre on Tuesday May 19th, leaving Alnwick at 9:30 am with return targeted at 5:30 pm.  The plan is to visit The Sill in the morning and lunch there before moving on to Vindolanda in the afternoon.

If, heaven forbid, it should rain, Vindolanda has both a museum and a cafe.  No-one is expected to cover every inch of the site.  There will be NO prize for anyone who claims to have done so!  Everyone is free to do as much wandering around Vindolanda as they feel comfortable doing.

The overall cost will be £33 per person.  There are 33 seats on the coach and these will be allocated to the first people to pay a £15 deposit either by cash to George Ellames or Pat Ashton, or by BACS to Alnwick u3a (20-59-43, 00278882).  The deposit will be refunded if you are unable to join us, as long as we have someone able to fill your place.
