The only restriction to becoming a member of Alnwick u3a is that you should not be in full-time employment. You do not have to live in Alnwick, and there is no age restriction.
If you are not currently a member of Alnwick u3a, click below for the Membership Form. The subscription for 2025/2 will be £27.00 as from 1st September 2025 and £13.50 for new members from 1st April 2026, to cover the period up to 31st August 2026.
If the member chooses not to receive the National u3a Magazine, u3a Matters, the annual subscription will be reduced by £3.80 to £23.20, and the half year by £1.90 to £11.60.

ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP
The Associate Member Fee is for people joining who are already members of other u3as. Those who are already members of the North Northumberland Network (NNN, i.e. Berwick, Coquetdale and Wooler) will be charged half of our normal subscription minus the cost of the u3a Matters magazine - £11.60 if joining between September and the end of March and £5.80 after the beginning of April.
For those from any other u3as, the subscription is based on the normal fee minus the Capitation Fee (currently £4), which we pay to TAT based on our membership as at 31st March, and the annual subscription to u3a Matters. So for someone joining between September 1st and March 31st, the Associate Membership subscription is £19.20. After 31st March until the end of the year (31 August) they are charged the same as an ordinary member not receiving u3a Matters, i.e. £11.60.
